Long Time, No Blog...

In case you were wondering, we're still alive and well.... well, better than we have been! First, let me say: WHAT A YEAR ALREADY! I can not believe it is April. Which means next month is... you guessed it... MAY- the month for our babies! Which means, I'm busy planning Hallie's first birthday party and preparing for the birth of our son (still no name-- there's plenty of time left to make an important decision like that, right?? No, really there isn't.. so that's just another BOLD, STARRED, UNDERLINED item waiting to be erased from the mile long To-Do-List).

You may have been wondering where we've been...

Well, Austin is working 7 days a week. We miss him dearly, and try to make the best of every free minute that we all have together. Monday's are our family days. Relaxing--not the least bit. We spend them "galavanting" (as my Mawmaw would say). Visiting the doctor and running errands in town. Still, we enjoy just being together...

Hallie bug-- sadly, she's a big girl. WAY TOO BIG. Now, she can say "NO, NO", give kisses and hugs (which are OH, SO SWEET), and take steps (yes, you read correctly.. she's soo close to walking). She has 8 teeth too! More than I had at age 2! ;) Seriously. Lately, she's been sick for almost a week. She's just now starting to eat solid foods again. And on that note, so are mommy and daddy. And we are all soo glad to have the virus behind us... And through it all, I learned something... that mommy's can't be sick! There simply isn't time for it. Let me take a minute to explain my realization: When mommy is sick she can't take off work for a day or two and stay home (in bed) to rest. Her job doesn't stop. There is always something to be done... laundry to wash, food to cook, floors to sweep, diapers to change, etc. And no, I'm not complaining... I love my job. And strive to be a better stay-at-home wife/mommy. I try to find new meals to cook that will impress my man and new faces to make/games to play that will make my Hallie bug laugh and learn. Somehow, I've taken a little rabbit trail... back to my precious one... I think she's beginning to realize that something is about to change. Almost sure that she realizes that my belly is growing by the millisecond... She'll pull up my shirt and poke at my belly button, trying to make it go back in. I absolutely love it! It's one thing I'll always remember... And probably one of those "stories" I'll tell when she's older. When I was pregnant with your little (or twin) brother... You know how they go...

As for me, I'm nesting. Wanting the house spotless, clean and everything prepared for a newborn.. At times I allow the "I WANT IT DONE NOW" 'tude to overwhelm me AND AUSTIN. But I'm almost 35 weeks! By this point with Hallie, I'd accomplished EVERYTHING and sat on pins-and-needles, twiddling my thumbs, impatiently waiting, and wAiTiNg, and WAITING! Oh the list of things to do...
