Name Game!

It's official, our son will not have a name. Why are boys so hard to name? "He must have to be strong and meaningful MAN name." That's what I'm told. And I agree. I don't want my son to have a girly, sissy name. But I do want him to have a name. I'm 23 (maybe 24- I'd have to count) weeks and we don't have even one name that we agree on. I know there are 17 weeks left to decide. So, what's the rush you might ask? There's monogramming, a room to personalize (well, not a room yet either.. but that's another story), a name to teach Hallie, etc. And, really, I JUST WANT TO KNOW and call him a name other than little man, baby boy, Rutgers (family joke), etc. You might be thinking, buy a baby name book. I own one. And have Google (access to any/every name). But it's not that easy. There are requirements. He must have a Biblical name AND one of my husbands names (Austin or Lee). So there you have it.
Let me tell you a story: Last night, I decided, was the the night. We'd name him. We were home alone, free from distractions. Hallie was at her grandparents house. So, I snuck into Hallie's room grabbed what I thought was the baby name book and returned to the couch. Immediately Austin says, "Not a baby name book!" I laugh, and we both look down to see that it's a pregnancy book! I grabbed the wrong one! He laughed. And held me down, refusing to let me back up to get the right book. I wiggled my way out and ran to get the book! Of course, he followed close behind and wouldn't let me in the armoire to get it. I gave in and walked out. While he was in another room, I decided to sneak back in. AND THE DOOR WAS LOCKED! I couldn't get in. So, I used the old credit card trick to get the door open. Later, we got in bed, and I pulled out the book. We made it half-way through the A's when he rolled over and began to snore! ERRR! Maybe one day we'll discuss names...
