WHAT a week!

This week has been unusual-- not the norm. I'm so glad it's the weekend. Although, when I think about it... there isn't much difference between a "weekday" and a "weekend" for us. Austin works 7 days a week, and I'm at home with Hallie 7 days a week. But this week was eventful: from late work nights (for aus), dental work (for me), to learning new things (for hallie). Thursday night, Austin was MIDNIGHT (i'm not exaggerating) getting home from work. Then, back up at 5 the next morning. I know he was exhausted. We're used to at least 7 hours of sleep around here. 11 1/2 for Hallie, but who's counting. Wednesday, I had dental work done. Many people crenge (sp?) at the mention of going to the dentist. But, I don't mind. In fact, the "not being about to feel my tongue/lip sensation" from having the local anesthesia was amusing (for Austin). He wished that I would talk like that all of the time (with a lisp and slurred speech). Because he thought it was "cute" or because he enjoyed "laughing" at me-- I'm not sure. Now, let me tell you about my Hallie bug. She has this new sleeping position. I'm not sure how it's comfortable, but it's become habit for her. Also, she's taking steps with her walker! I know it won't be long before she's walking around.

She loves to stand and does NOT like sitting. When we try to sit her on the floor to play, she straightens her legs so we can't sit her down. She's not crawling, but scoots (or rolls) everywhere.

One more thing before I end this post, Hallie is talking/jabbering up a storm! She can say: dada, mama, bye, and uh-oh. She shakes her head "no" too. And I'm afraid that now, she knows what it means. When I wipe her nose, she shakes her head. And when she's had enough to eat and doesn't want anymore, she shakes her head. I'm trying to teach her "yes" by shaking my head up and down, but she just gives me a crazy look! Speaking of looks, she can make some faces. Very, very expressive (just like her daddy). I can't believe my baby will be 9 months old next week.
So, there's our eventful week. I went shopping/ couponing (ALL DAY) on Friday. That was an adventure in itself. Later, i'll post my deals for you to see. Have a great weekend :)
