Global Wildlife..

I haven't mentioned much about my 5th graders-- so, here's to them! The past week has been "crazy" and "hectic" (due to late nights of typing papers, organizing my ST binder, and uploading 76 QTS standards to FOLIOTEK-- yes, the Board of Education BETTER check mine) but this field trip was a stress reliever. Not only did the kids really enjoy it, but I did too! And I can't wait for my own KIDS :) to be older, so they can experience it too. OH the trips and vacations I have planned once they're old enough. Not that I'm rushing it. I want them to be my sweet, innocent, loving babies forever. Although, my Hallie bug thinks she's quite grown up. And can do (and eat) anything mommy and daddy do. I guess that's all part of her "making way for a little bro/sis." As EVERYONE else told us (even before we found out that we were expecting, again-- thanks Mawmaw Von)! OOPS-- somehow I got off on a rabbit trail-- back to the 5th grade field trip.
Did I say the day was a "stress reliever?" Well, most of it. It didn't start off wonderfully. First, waking up at 4:30 wasn't my idea of "starting the day off right." Did I say 4:30? I snoozed the alarm until 5:00. Which resulted in my running around the house "like a chicken with my head cut off." Leaving the house 15 minutes behind schedule, I rushed to drop Hallie off at daycare. Then, stopped by Greer's to buy my lunch. Racing up and down the aisles trying to find the "Lunchables"-- I finally decided to ASK. Sidenote: Lunchables are NOT for adults. Unless, you consume more than one. Thankfully, I had other food to go with it. As I paced the aisles of the store, I grabbed Milano cookies, breakfast bars, chips, and a couple candy bars! Yes, I'm a junkie. Finally making it to the school, I boarded the charter bus and sat down letting out a BIG sigh of relief-- I made it. Now, one our way my CT realizes she left her cell phone in her car at the school. No worries, I told her. I have mine. BUT I didn't. Which caused me to PANIC. Being miles away from my baby with no way to be contacted AND not knowing the exact where abouts of my phone-- STRESSED ME. I remembered (or thought I remembered) putting it in my backpack as I sprinted from car to the bus. So, I knew it must've fell on the ground. Which meant my phone would be wet and cold or in several pieces when I found it. So, we used another (RESPONSIBLE) teacher's phone to call the school. The counselor and principal searched the campus for my phone. About 15-20 minutes later they called to report that they found it in the front seat of my car! HOW EMBARRASSING. I felt AWFUL for making them search for my phone IN THE FREEZING COLD when all along it was safely in my car. The "hecticness" ended there. Thankfully.

So here's to the rest of the day. I'll stop typing and upload pictures.

The camel in the distance was chasing the tractor! A sight to see.
