C&C Christmas Party

So, I'm EXTREMELY behind on blogging.. Over the next few days, I intend to catch up (since I'm now a STAY-AT-HOME WIFE/ MOMMY-- more about that later).
Our holidays began with our College and Career Christmas Party at Leah and Riley's! I know they're excited to be SETTLED in their new house and just in time for the holidays! :) Which, I love. Cold weather, hot chocolate and apple cider (and egg nog, if you're one of those.. my husband is), cuddling underneath a warm blanket by a fire, Christmas cards (which are on my to-do list), the smell of a pine tree, decorations and lights, presents, parties, family gatherings, etc. Those are all things that make this season SOO wonderful! OK, back to our C&C party... here are some pictures!

The night began with an INTENSE siamese gift-wrapping competition:
girls vs. boys!

Ashlie & Morgan

Sam & Nate

The outcome-- the two teams were judged by APPLAUSE! Unanimously, the guys won. However, this picture doesn't capture the true beauty of their gift wrapping skills!

Meagan, giving the rules for the Left-Right game. This was my first time to play this at Christmas. I think I'll try it with my family and maybe even write my own "Left/Right" story. Here's how you play (just-in-case you want to play too): This can be played with just a few presents or with each guest holding a present. Standing in a circle, the guests listen to the telling of a story about the RIGHT family and their many LEFTS. Each time those words are heard, the gifts are passed in that direction! In the end, each person keeps the gift in their possession. If you play with a few gifts, then there are only a few winners! That's how we played the game, and I was a WINNER!

Then, we played the traditional, Dirty Santa! With 25 guests, this was a very long game. Exciting though! Here are some pictures of the "highlights" of the game:

Rochelle opening her first of many presents.

After stealing ALL of Rochelle's edible gifts (and having them stole from me), I finally found one of my own! This made me a HAPPY pregnant woman.

Sam's expression after he stole my Yankee Candles-- I think he may've been Christmas shopping for the lady in his life!

Leah's expression as she opened her present!

Poor Leah, no one wanted to steal her chin fat-massager!

Tim played the last game of the night! This was a competition to see who could blow up six balloons, stuff them in brown stockings, put them on their head (like a reindeer), and say the names of all 9 of Santa's reindeer!

Sam, entertainer of the night.

Avery, loving on her mommy.

MY LOVE and OUR 2nd LOVE at 16 weeks :)
