week 24

Today, I felt my first Braxton Hicks contraction. Now, I can say that I am even more scared about labor and its pains! It happened in a furniture store. We were walking around, and all of a sudden I felt my belly tightening. I sat down in a recliner and began to rub my belly, thinking I could massage away the cramping. After about 5 minutes the cramp went away and my belly returned to normal. It was a crazy, crazy feeling. It brought a tear to my eye (yes, im a big baby). Mainly because I didn't know what was happening. After talking to Momma and Ashley, I realized exactly what it was. So next time, the shock of not knowing what's happening will not be a problem.

Also, speaking of pains, I've had a few morning "leg cramps" lately. A couple of times, I've woke up out of a deep, deep sleep SCREAMING! Austin always says, walk it out. And when I attempt to stand up-- I come close to falling over. I stretch it out by pushing my foot against a wall. Usually, it occurs when I stretch my legs before I get out of bed. Oh the "pains" of pregnancy! It'll all be worth it when I hold that sweet baby Hallie in my arms.
